Big Sale Has Started - UPDATED 07-31-25 (01 Apr 2025)

As some of you know my dad passed away 2 months ago today, on May 31, 2025. I posted it in the Members Only section when it happened. Thanks to all of you who have offered kind words on the forum, with phone calls, and visits in person during this time.

The Big Sale is on but not like originally planned, it is a by appointment type of thing now. I don't have the manpower, or the desire to do a big event like originally planned, I just need to sell a lot of parts that are taking up too much space here. I have been told and believe we are overloaded with Wheel Horse parts like no one has ever seen. Peeps have already been coming in from different parts of the country and buying a lot of stuff due to seeing the sale page, and seeing we are the only Wheel Horse only business in the USA that does things on the scale we do. The sale will continue for awhile until I free up some more space but you may not want to wait too long as things are being sold every day and there are limits to how many of certain parts will be sold.

As it says on the page it is still under construction and the page isn't finished yet. I've had a ton of calls for parts and the Big Sale Page may help answer some questions about what is here before peeps call. I hope that page is also clear that we DO NOT SHIP anything... This is a by appointment type of thing now. Be sure to call before you come to make sure the day isn't already full with peeps scheduled to come in, and make sure what you want is still available.

I'm doing a little work on the trailers and this is something else I've been wanting to do.  I've been working on them on and off for a few days and they can be put together tomorrow after the paint dries.

The pipe is equivalent to todays 1/2" double wall pipe, it's actually pipe that was in the house when I remodeled it 20 years ago that was in the ceiling and was used for the carbide lighting from way way back.  Yes I keep everything...

Steps to make -

Pipe cut at 2" long
Hole drilled 11/16"C from bottom with 17/64" drill bit (1 size over 1/4")
Clean out pipe interior with 1/2" drill bit (lathe pic)
Test fit before moving on (this is important)
Weld things up
Test fit again
Paint and done

**Make sure the nut (or whatever you use) is on the opposite (longer) end of the pipe.

**Hint - I used a bolt through the pipe to hold the nut in place while it was welded.

I will be using a 5/16 x 3/4"L bolt with a lock washer and regular washer to do the jack movement.  My jacks move easily so this will be much more than enough without it coming loose.  I will also be using a pin for easy removal, this will be a nice theft deterrent when the piece is off.  I guess it's a nice theft deterrent even if you decided to leave it on and use a bolt instead of the quick release pin.

What you decide to weld on the top is really up to you.  I used a 5/16" thread flange nut because I wanted to be able to use a 1/2" socket that is easily available for 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" drives.  I will be using my small cordless drill in the pics with a 1/4" drive 1/2" socket.

I'll post a few more pics when it's all done.

These are soooooooooo cooooooooool.     I wish I had done this a long time ago.  With the little 20 volt B+D drill it lifts the trailer loaded with tractors without any problem at all.  From fully lowered to fully extended on the empty trailer it takes 11 seconds, yes I timed it.    I have 1 more thing coming in tomorrow for them, will put up some pics when they arrive.

Nothing like making life a little better and easier.

The finishing touch is on.  I used a washer a little over 3/4" under the top bolt when it was put together and ordered in some 3/4" caps to cover it all.  It almost looks professional...

I hope someone else finds this little mod useful.
